my journey so far

I have always had a passion for the stage. It started with me taking the lead role in a school musical at 10 years of age. Then I went on to learn rock guitar, and play in heavy metal bands through my teens, culminating in a record deal and US and European tours in my early 20s.

I then returned to college to study music seriously, and mutated into an opera singer. For 15 years I sung professionally, taking many great baritone roles on the operatic stage including Figaro, The Count and Germont.

In the last 7 years I have discovered that the one thing I still feared the most, public speaking, turned out to be something I rather enjoyed. I have gone on to win several awards with Toastmasters International in their speaking contests:

Two actors on stage during a theatrical performance. The woman is kneeling, facing away from the camera, and wearing a headscarf and floral dress. The man is sitting on a large, rusty metal object, possibly a piece of machinery, and wearing a vest and pants, with a serious expression. The stage has minimal props, including a chair, a telephone, and some rocks or paper on the floor.
